Providing a 7 YOs First True Christmas

Tonight, you all gave this little 7YO boy the Christmas he’s (literally) never had (X 100).

12 new pairs of shoes, 25 pairs of pants, 30 shirts, 3 jackets, tons of PJ’s & blankets, a dozen hoodies, countless underwear and socks, duffle full of care products and toys. His caregiver was beyond grateful & can now redistribute her resources to food/medical/etc.

Emily Tucker thanks for all you do for our community and for assisting with the delivery.

Original post from 2/3/22:

Tonight’s awareness post (for anyone who cares to read), on this my (top 3) most challenging days of my career, is a reflection of the importance of ‘community’. The community member that called the school this AM with a significant concern regarding what she was observing/feeling—we are forever grateful! The school that reached out to me requesting immediate help/support—thank you for bringing it to my attention and relying on your gut to know it was serious! My SRO that was closeby as I went to check it out. My colleague/partner/buddy that literally stopped what she was doing when she found out what I was standing in the middle of to help/support in a tremendously difficult situation (physically showed up for HOURS to offer another set of eyes & ears)—you are the reason this kid is safe, healthy & happy tonight! To the Uber driver that safely got us to school and showed us so much care and concern. To the agency that took me seriously and acted within 30 minutes—you’ve restored my faith in the system.

This is a reminder that we should always keep our eyes and ears open in our communities; it could be the difference (literally) in a child’s life. We are ALL counting on each other. I believe it is indeed everyone’s responsibility if it involves a child. Our kids deserve it—every single one of them!
