Weekly rally to gather resources for kids in need.
Each week, we identify a need for children/families in or around Baltimore, MD in various situations that we need the community’s help to serve. These children/families could be children residing in one of our partner shelters, children just entering foster care who come with nothing or children living in poverty with dire needs. The items needed could include anything from a pair of shoes to a bottle of shampoo.
As of 2024, our Take Action Thursday program now has an Amazon wishlist! Our generous donors will have the option to purchase needed items directly from TAT’s Amazon wishlist. This list will also always have general care products on it that every child/family we support receives, as well as more specific items such as clothing and shoes for the child/family featured through TAT each week.
In person drop off and direct shipping are also still available using the instructions below.
How it Works
Tune in on Empower 4 Life’s Facebook every Thursday at 9 pm for that week’s TAT post, which will now include a link that will take you directly to the Amazon wishlist.
You can either purchase items directly from the Amazon wishlist by simply browsing the list and clicking the “add to cart” button for items you’d like to purchase.
When checking out, you’ll have the option to send items directly to E4L via our founder, Jennifer Cox (full address will be hidden, but rest assured they’ll come directly to us!).
Our volunteers will work as quickly as possible to have these items distributed to the recipients.
