Empowering Students For Success

At Empower4Life, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to thrive. Through our school partnerships, we provide targeted support to students in need, helping them stay on track and reach their full potential. Our efforts focus on mentorship, attendance support, and a scholarship fund, creating a comprehensive approach to student success.

Mentorship Program

We partner with a high-need high school in Baltimore County to run a mentorship program designed to help students in their senior year achieve their high school diploma. Each year, a cohort of approximately 20 students benefits from:

  • Regular Check-Ins: Ensuring they stay on track academically and personally.

  • Attendance & Academic Incentives: Encouraging consistent progress through motivational rewards.

  • Supportive Notes & Encouragement: Providing the emotional boost they need to succeed.

Now in its third year, this program is making a measurable impact in helping students overcome challenges and celebrate graduation. (Stay tuned for more data on our success!)

Attendance Support

Consistent school attendance is critical for academic success and personal growth. Empower4Life collaborates with community schools to implement creative initiatives that encourage students to attend school regularly:

 
 

  • Scoot Into School Initiative: Elementary students in walking communities earn scooters and helmets as incentives for exceptional attendance, promoting both physical activity and reliable transportation to school. This program has been going strong since Spring 2024.

  • Secondary School Attendance Incentives: Partnerships with middle and high schools reward students for punctuality and daily attendance, fostering habits that lead to success.

These programs help students feel more confident, engaged, and supported in their educational journey.

Scholarship Fund

Each spring, we recognize the resilience and achievements of one graduating senior by awarding a scholarship. This opportunity is reserved for a student who has shown exceptional determination and courage while overcoming difficult life circumstances. Selection criteria include:

  • Financial need.

  • Academic success.

  • Community involvement.
