Spring 2022 Sessions Kickoff

Last night, Empower4Life kicked off our spring educational program for local children experiencing homelessness. Our educational team of 20 has been hard at work since December preparing! We are bringing 46 programs to children living in 4 local shelters over the next 12 weeks and we could not be more excited.

Last night we started with some high energy yoga, and talking to the kids about their dreams and goals, inviting the children to channel their inner superhero. They each designed their own cape and some shared their super powers. One of the little girls decided to be “Heart Girl,” who saved everyone in the world by giving out love.

Our second session included teaching the kids how to create a “God’s Eye” made with yarn and popsicle sticks. This was created in the 1400s to keep children safe. Everyone enjoyed the weaving process and really showcased their creativity!
