100 Mouths Fed for Thanksgiving!

The alarm clocks went off on or before 5am for some of our greatest family & friends to gather this morning and make meals for almost 100 people living in poverty!

I will never forget how this started 4 years ago at my own families brunch when my siblings, aunts, uncles & cousins over heard me take 3 calls from families looking for a meal on Thanksgiving, and I had to tell them I was unsure of any last minute resources. I came back into the room and they had thrown a few hundred dollars on the table for me to run to Jimmy’s seafood and get some of their to go Thanksgiving feast platters so that those families would not go without….

A few weeks later Matthew Barrett & Megan Bailey Barrett called me to pitch this idea for Thanksgiving 2022….and we have never looked back! The amount of time, effort & planning they put into this project is unreal. Thank you both for your advocacy, leadership, and huge hearts! We are so grateful, as are the 100 people that you allowed the community to wrap their arms around today!!

Thanks not only to our volunteer cooks this morning, but also to our donors, pie bakers, and delivery drivers!
