Making a Senior's First Space a Home

She’s an 18YO senior in BCPS. She’s unaccompanied and has been for much of her life. Thanks to Pressley Ridge (a BCPS partner), she now has her own apartment, providing stability and a much shorter commute to school, making access to her education much more feasible.

Empower4Life was able to equip her today with pots, pans, dishes, etc to get her started. When she asked what she owed us, we of course said nothing! She knows we will be keeping a close eye to make sure she gets that diploma on time in June. (she promised). Thanks to all our donors who make this work possible.

Side note: this housing program is the first of its kind in Baltimore County. I imagine the possibilities if there could be others like it down the road.
